IMAGINE THERE IS NO BORDERS
There is no Planet B
My topic was climate change and I attempted to portray the slow fading of our planet. I combined immediately recognizable imagery of Earth with some slight touches of my favorite animal and disintegrated the two into space. Climate change is an issue of many small decisions and lifestyles that manifest in major changes through habituation and time. This slow accumulation of side effects makes it very difficult to incite immediate change and action. Similar to poor dietary decisions, single instances of climate-affecting habits, like driving a gasoline-powered car, seem so minor and inconsequential. Over time, as we all know in the back of our heads, these minor decisions add up to massive changes. My goal was to combine something as small as an individual turtle and the entire globe into one, to show the range of consequences these habits have.
